All of these venues provide the perfect balance of epic mountain backdrop with intimate outdoorsy wedding vibes, and most of them can hold 100-150 guests.

One of my favorite things about this venue is the variety of convenient wedding portrait vistas: the footbridge, the forest, Twin Lakes and the upper overlook, Lake Mary, and more. If you want even more variety, we can find more spots within a 20-minute drive!

2. Convict Lake Resort

Overview: Convict Lake Resort is a 20-minute drive south of Mammoth. The resort features 28 cabins, three lodges, a general store, and boat rentals, making it ideal for extending your special day into a memorable weekend getaway.

Convict Lake is very close to all of the most popular vistas for wedding photos. Convict Lake itself provides an amazing on-site backdrop if you don’t want to drive anywhere. Within a 20-minute drive, you also have Hot Creek Geological Site, the meadow along the Owen’s River, and the cinematic road past the iconic Green Church.

3. June Mountain

Overview: June Mountain has some of the best panoramic views in the area, on an elegant, minimalist concrete slab. The reception area is rustic with a stone fireplace, high ceilings with open rafters, and expansive windows highlighting breathtaking mountain views. Riding the chairlift up the mountain is a fun experience for you and your guests.

The town of June Lake has tons of cabins and Airbnb’s to choose from for your stay and for getting ready.
